The US Food and Drug Administration hosted a hybrid public listening session in September entitled, “Modernizing Food and Drug Administration Recalls.” ACS is hosted this webinar to recap the meeting and share information pertinent to ACS members.
Topics covered in this webinar were: innovation in technology for moving to digital communication and getting away from antiquated methods to communicate recalls, upcoming ideas about alerts on mobile phones for localized food safety outbreaks, creating a color-coded alert system based on risk factors, creating a database for food allergen recalls, use of software for traceability, etc.
This session was hosted by Ron Tanner, Susan Rigg, and Adam Brock.
